Optos Daytona Allow Doctors for Retinal Scans to See What is Otherwise Invisible to the Human Eye with No eyedrops and no dilation required
Optos Daytona providing ultra-high resolution imaging and captures images through 2mm pupils and many cataracts because this machine is a digital, non-mydriatic, ultra-widefield scanning laser ophthalmoscope
With two lasers, Optos Daytona takes a scan of the back of the eye, or retina, through the undilated iris.
Optos Daytona is a scanning retinal imaging tool which can take ultra-wide pictures of a patient's mind. The Optos Daytona uses technology to catch retinal images as though it was taking them from in the eye.
This device can take a 200-degree picture of the retina in 1 picture around and can catch the image in less than 1 second. The Daytona is easy for individuals to use. A patient sits in the front of also an icon lights along with the machine up in green if she or he is at the correct place for the camera. The system leaves the doctor available to revolve around the individual rather than on the screen and captures the image.
The Optos Daytona assists our doctors to diagnose eye diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. Our Astoria optometrists can track "freckles" at the back of the eye known as a choroidal nevus. The system allows for peripheral abnormalities such as retinal tears, retinal holes, and retinal detachments and the discovery of retinal melanomas. It may sometimes help us to see vitreal floaters.
Patients find this apparatus quite exciting. To be able to picture a patient's retina and then have the ability to examine it with them is a method of comparing changes over time and a terrific educational tool.
